El registro sanitario del hato es una de esas tareas que todos saben que importa y casi nadie lleva completa. Cuando la informacion vive en cuadernos mojados, mensajes de WhatsApp y la memoria del mayordomo, se pierden fechas de vacunas, se repiten tratamientos y se rompe la trazabilidad.
Que deberias registrar siempre
- Vacunaciones: aftosa, brucelosis, clostridiales y demas, con fecha, producto y lote aplicado.
- Tratamientos: antibioticos, antiinflamatorios y otros, con dosis y periodo de retiro para leche o carne.
- Desparasitaciones: vermifugaciones internas y externas.
- Eventos reproductivos y clinicos: partos, abortos, cojeras, mastitis.
- Pesajes: para ligar sanidad con desempeno productivo.
El problema no es registrar, es registrar en el momento
En la practica el registro falla porque se hace despues, cuando el operario vuelve a la oficina y ya olvido la mitad. La solucion es capturar el dato en el corral, desde el celular, en el mismo momento en que se aplica el producto - incluso sin senal.
Un registro que se hace de memoria en la noche no es trazabilidad, es un aproximado.
Por que la trazabilidad te paga
Un historial sanitario limpio te sirve para vender mejor (compradores y frigorificos valoran trazabilidad), para cumplir requisitos oficiales, para no repetir tratamientos y para respetar los tiempos de retiro antes de enviar un animal a sacrificio o su leche a acopio.
Alertas: de registro a accion
El registro cobra valor cuando genera alertas: estos animales necesitan refuerzo, vence el periodo de retiro del lote 12, faltan 2 tareas de sanidad esta semana. Asi la sanidad deja de ser un archivo muerto y se convierte en tareas pendientes claras para el equipo.

El operario registra en campo, el administrador ve el estado del hato desde la oficina y el veterinario consulta el historico - todos sobre los mismos datos. Eso es lo que hace que el registro sanitario por fin se mantenga en el tiempo.
